Marmon Foodservice Technologies is seeking a strategic and execution-minded Technical Training Manager to lead our technical training function across the U.S. and Canada, while building a scalable global training framework. This role will shape how we train external field service teams internal stakeholders to drive product knowledge, service consistency, and equipment uptime.

This individual will lead the development and delivery of blended training programs (in-person, virtual, and e-learning) across both new product introductions and legacy equipment platforms. The Technical Training Manager will also own the Learning Management System (LMS), overseeing content strategy, certification programs, and learner engagement. Success in this role requires strong collaboration with product management, engineering, the support contact center, sales, marketing, and distributor partners to ensure training is aligned, prioritized, and driving measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

Training Strategy & Execution

  • Build and execute a technical training strategy that prioritizes service technician readiness—across customer in-house tech teams, ASAs, and distributor partners—to drive uptime and equipment performance.
  • Develop and maintain a structured training roadmap and course catalog that supports installation, diagnostics, service/repair, and preventive maintenance across new and legacy equipment.
  • Support internal teams, including the support contact center and sales, with targeted training resources that reinforce product knowledge and service consistency.
  • Deliver training through a blended approach (in-person, virtual, e-learning), tailored by audience, channel, and product complexity.
  • Define, monitor, and report on key training metrics; manage internal and customer-facing dashboards to measure engagement, adoption, and impact.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of technical trainers, providing clear direction, accountability, and professional growth opportunities.
  • Promote consistent facilitation standards and collaboration across the team to ensure high-quality training delivery.

LMS & Content Ownership

  • Own and manage a LMS platform, ensuring it is scalable, intuitive, and structured to support global learning needs.
  • Manage the LMS vendor relationship and ensure platform functionality aligns with learner experience goals and business objectives.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of technical content (videos, tutorials, troubleshooting guides, assessments) determining what is developed in-house versus through third-party partners and managing those vendor relationships.
  • Implement certification programs and learning programs to validate technician readiness and training effectiveness.

External Training & Partner Engagement

  • Partner with customers, distributors, and ASAs to ensure technicians are properly trained and equipped to support Marmon equipment in the field.
  • Coordinate and support training sessions hosted at customer and partner facilities, ensuring strong attendance, pre-session preparation, and consistent delivery.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to align training with broader customer success and go-to-market strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Learning & Development, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Training within a foodservice, equipment, or industrial setting.
  • 3+ years of experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), particularly SCORM course development
  • Proven experience leading training programs across virtual, in-person, and e-learning channels.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and mentoring training teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing across functions without direct authority.
  • Willingness to travel (~20%) for training events and partner support across North America.

Compensation:

  • $130,000- $152,000/year

Pay Range:

104,000.00 - 156,000.00
