Job Description

Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler where you will be responsible for assembling fully customized and highly complex filling solutions and machines, including dual, combined, 3-A machines, and rotary fillers. You will follow detailed engineering specifications and guidelines to construct sub-assemblies and complete machines using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble sub-assemblies and fully customized filling solutions/machines in accordance with engineering specifications.
  • Follow detailed and complex engineering assembly prints and guidelines using hand and power tools.
  • Torque bolts according to engineering guidelines and inspect finished goods to ensure they meet customer and company requirements.
  • Inspect, test, and adjust completed machines to ensure units meet critical specifications and customer order requirements.
  • Notify Engineering of Bills of Material errors and create NCRs/ECRs for any issues arising.
  • Complete assembly mechanical checkouts of machines before release to the Service Department and aid service technicians with FATs and Post FAT requirements.
  • Operate forklift and scissors lift as needed and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist in crating with the disassembly of larger machines and perform other projects as directed by management.
  • Observe all safety rules, applicable regulations, and company standards/guidelines.
  • Report unsafe conditions and needed repairs to the production supervisor.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • 1++ years of Mechanical Maintenance experience.
  • 1+ year of reading assembly prints and guidelines.
  • 2+ years of utilizing calipers and measuring equipment.
  • 2+ years of experience with hand and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Forklift operation is a plus.

Work Environment

A clean manufacturing environment specializing in custom filling equipment. Enjoy a casual dress code with jeans and steel toes required, and plain t-shirts or hats are acceptable. The noise level is moderate to high, and the work environment may expose you to dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and unpleasant odors. Safety equipment such as safety glasses, safety toe work shoes, and hearing protection are required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
