Job Description:
Apex Systems is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer / Linux with well-rounded Linux Infrastructure Engineering expertise to join an agile product team. The Ideal candidate will have experience in both traditional infrastructure design; provisioning of platform, storage, and networking resources for existing on-premise infrastructure hardware that ideally also has experience in emerging DevOps/DevSecOps & Modernized technologies. The Principal Platform Engineer would be engaged in the design and implementation of the system updates and upgrades with Focus on the Linux Server / Linux OS expertise and will interface both with the Program’s Sr. Management and the Customer for Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) as required.
The Principal Platform Engineer / Linux would be involved with development, implementation of traditional compute/network/storage systems and related deployments, as well as support improving the program platform’s over-arching design through new emerging technologies. This includes existing operating systems and existing server hardware designs, as well as supporting the design and development of new modernized system architectures.

Pay Range:
$80 - $95 per hour
