About the role:

The Innovation Center in Silkeborg, are conducting a lot of different tests from customer all around the world, within food & beverage.

As a Senior Automation Engineer your primary function will be to lead the development, implementation, testing and troubleshooting of our automation and manufacturing controls systems.

You will take ownership of developing and delivering automation solutions for our technology portfolio. Taking the lead on all automation activities in the project lifecycle. (From concept to completion.)

Your main responsibilities:

• Develop automation design for the contracts allocated within the allocated budget, timescales, and contractual requirements and in line with current SPX designs.
• Take ownership for leading the automation design on projects from concept to completion.
• Review automation designs against contract requirements, highlight deviations (Technical / commercial).
• Ability to read Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams and interpret Process Description to translate it to automation solutions.
• Develop and deliver automation solutions on time, to budget and in line with contractual requirements.
• Be familiar with ISO, IEC Engineering standards and be comfortable with implementing them.
• Act as an advocate for the evolution of our automation solutions to meet global standards and local regulations.
• Lead automation design reviews at appropriate stages of the project. Have the ability to effectively communicate issues and influence stakeholders.
• Lead the development of all automation documentation required for projects.
• Prepare purchase requisition instructions by interpreting specifications and quotations, etc.

Education and Experience:

• Developing PLC hardware and software solutions. (Siemens / Rockwell / Schnieder)
• Developing HMI /SCADA hardware and software solutions. (Siemens TIA & Wincc / Wonderware Intouch / Wonderware application server / RSView.)
• Excellent Danish and English written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel at least 20 percent of the time.
• Knowledge and practice of the overall Food & Beverage Systems project delivery concepts of engineering, supply chain, installation and commissioning processes to ensure on time, on cost and at high quality delivery.
• Knowledge of large scale, multi-function, multi-country and multi-site project delivery
• Knowledge of process categories within Food & Beverage
• Knowledge of food/beverage regulations/hygiene requirements, etc.
