Profile Description

We’re seeking someone to join our team as (Vice President) Power Platform Developer Lead. The Microsoft App Platform (MAP) team aims to make the public cloud a preferred platform for Morgan Stanley IT. This global team designs secure, robust solutions that help development teams build new applications and migrate existing ones to the cloud.

Enterprise_Technology

Enterprise Technology & Services (ETS) delivers shared technology services for Morgan Stanley supporting all business applications and end users. ETS provides capabilities for all stages of Morgan Stanley’s software development lifecycle, enabling productive coding, functional and integration testing, application releases, and ongoing monitoring and support for over 3,000 production applications. ETS also delivers all workplace technologies (desktop, mobile, voice, video, productivity, intranet/internet) in integrated configurations that boost the personal productivity of employees. Application and end user functions are delivered on a scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure composed of seamlessly integrated datacenter, network, compute, cloud, storage, and database functions.

Application Infrastructure (AI)

Application Infrastructure (AI) strives to maximize the business application developers’ productivity by centrally providing the core development lifecycle tools, core reusable software libraries and middleware thus minimizing duplicative efforts across silos. Our goal is to provide infrastructure that is broadly reusable, scalable, reliable and highly performant to meet the demanding needs of our applications.

This is Vice President position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What you’ll do in the role:

As part of a dynamic, agile team, you'll support rapid growth and adoption of Power Platform, moving from early adopters to early majority within two years. Your work will enhance productivity and modernize tools, influencing the firm's transformation for years.

All aspects of power platform are under consideration for these improvements, so we are looking for an experienced power platform DevOps engineer to both develop and lead a team of developers. This role requires a strong combination of developer and infrastructure knowledge and experience. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate technical leadership with a track record of developing and driving innovative solutions within the power platform framework. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for managing the software development process, including overseeing the team of developers to ensure successful project delivery.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Must have:

  • Atleast 6+ Years of relevance to the listed responsibilities expected.
  • Experience with power platform cloud architecture design and application integration/refactoring to work with public cloud
  • Strong power platform development / programming skills
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and using test driven frameworks
  • Experience with Azure SaaS/PaaS services
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps concepts for solutions
  • Strong communication and written skills
  • Experience creating technical architecture documentation
  • Experience of designing systems to scale in an enterprise environment
  • Experience with Power Pages, Power Apps (both types), Power Automate, AI Builder and Chatbots, Power BI integration
  • Experience with large scale deployment types, methods, and adoption

Desirable:

  • Dynamics365 or Power Platform Training / Certification
  • Power platform Security model and access provision
  • Power platform Data Loss Prevention policies and Connectors
  • Dataverse Management
  • Dataverse schema design
  • Demonstrated experience with working within an agile/DevOps environment
  • Understanding of cloud security products
  • Appreciation and experience of security, legal and regulatory/compliance controls required to move data into a cloud service, preferably from the finance sector
  • Experience working with regulatory, compliance and/or litigation group within the Financial Industry
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Ability to switch between strategy and detail
