Position Summary:
The Outbound Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily activities for shipping functions of all outbound products to customers, managing all aspects of shipping and transferring product and materials, verifying and recording information on outgoing shipments, and providing leadership to shipping personnel.
Essential Duties and responsibilities:
- Prepare daily attendance and performance employees report.
- Assign workload tasks, measure results and lead hands-on execution of all shipping responsibilities.
- Establish objectives for increased output and improved efficiency.
- Communicating via email and telephone with other warehouse departments to ensure product is moved efficiently and in a timely manner into the shipping lanes in advance of arrival of trucks picking up product.
- Leading the shipping team members to ensure accuracy and timeliness of shipments being loaded and carriers leaving the facility.
- Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat and organized, complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- May need to work occasional overtime and Saturdays, as directed by Warehouse Manager.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3 plus years of Warehousing/Supply Chain experience
- Continuous Improvement Background
- Experience with supervising a fast paced, high demand environment with 20+ associates.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel, & Outlook).
- Ability to lift, lower, or carry up to 50 lbs
2nd Shift:
Monday to Friday from 12:00pm to 8:30pm
