Job Title: Slitter/Winder Operator

Job Summary:

The Slitter/Winder Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining slitting and rewinding machines to convert materials like paper, film, and foil into narrower rolls. This role is vital to ensuring high-quality products meet customer specifications and maintaining efficient production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operation & Setup: Load and align material, set up and adjust machine parameters, and operate controls to regulate machine speed and align material.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality checks and inspections, troubleshoot basic line issues, and ensure the finished product meets quality and accuracy standards.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of operations, including production, downtime, and waste.
  • Safety & Housekeeping: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, and maintain a clean and neat work area.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience operating slitting or rewinder equipment, preferably with delicate plastics.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting.
  • Ability to lift and handle cores and rolls of various sizes.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42640.00 - $43000.00/yr.
