Position Summary
Arrow International, the world’s largest manufacturer of charitable gaming solutions, is seeking a Prototype/Documentation Specialist to support our R&D and Product Development teams in bringing innovative gaming products to market.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the sourcing and procurement of prototype components for electronic gaming equipment, software-driven systems, and mechanical assemblies. Key responsibilities include ensuring bill of material (BOM) accuracy, maintaining part number integrity, and driving clear documentation flow to the sourcing team. You will also coordinate cross-functional communication to ensure lead times align with project schedules and that collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and compliance teams remains efficient and consistent.
This role is critical to supporting rapid iteration and validation cycles while meeting Arrow’s high standards for quality, traceability, and regulatory compliance.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
1. BOM & Part Management
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date Bills of Material (BOMs) for prototype and production builds across multiple product lines.
- Process and track part number requests to ensure consistent use of Arrow’s part numbering system.
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to implement design changes and maintain BOM integrity.
2. Procurement Support
- Create and manage Lanca purchase requests for prototype materials, electronics, and mechanical components.
- Coordinate with Arrow’s Sourcing and Supply Chain teams to ensure on-time procurement and delivery.
3. Documentation Flow
- Ensure proper documentation handoff between R&D, Sourcing, and Manufacturing teams.
- Track document updates and ensure alignment with compliance and regulatory standards required in the charitable gaming industry.
- Support the transition from prototype to production release.
4. Manuals & Internal Documentation
- Work with internal teams (Product Management, Engineering, Technical Writing) to support the creation and maintenance of:
- Assembly manuals
- Product user manuals
- Internal work instructions
- Ensure these documents stay current with prototype iterations and compliance updates.
Requirements
Experience and Education
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or a technical discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in a buyer, procurement coordinator, or prototype purchasing role, preferably in an electronics or regulated hardware environment.
- Familiarity with part numbering systems, BOM management, and cross-functional document flow.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a track record of ensuring accuracy in high-complexity environments.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, iterative development cycles.
- Strong communication skills — comfortable collaborating with engineers, product managers, sourcing teams, and compliance personnel.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, and purchasing tools (experience with Lanca or similar ERP/MRP systems is a plus).
