Job Description

We are seeking skilled Production Operators to join our team. You will be responsible for operating cutting sheets with saws and staple guns, handling offline saw operations using rota boy cranes, lifting and stacking panels, and measuring and cutting with bandsaws. The shift is from 6 PM to 6 AM.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the start-up and shut-down procedures for the assigned production line area.
  • Effectively operate as an operator in the production line area, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to instructions.
  • Complete reports and respond to inquiries as requested or assigned.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the production line area.
  • Multitask with changing priorities and deadlines as directed by the supervisor.
  • Utilize industrial equipment and machinery, hand, pneumatic, and electric tools, and other industrial tooling effectively.
  • Perform changeovers quickly, efficiently, and safely.
  • Assist with scrap breakdown as directed.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed by the supervisor.

Essential Skills

  • Production and machine operation experience.
  • Proficiency in packaging, inspection, saw operation, and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to use tape measures, bandsaws, and circular saws.
  • Strong mathematic skills and proficiency in the metric measurement system.
  • High level of attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Two years of prior machine or production operator experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Ability to work up to 12 hours per day and weekends, as necessary.
  • Physical capability to perform duties including walking, climbing, bending, lifting, grasping, pinching, reaching, twisting, leaning, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Effective verbal communication skills in English.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Excel and computer use.
  • Reliability and dependability to report to company locations for assigned shifts.
  • Prior forklift experience is a plus.

Work Environment

Work in a non-climate-controlled environment with extreme temperatures, noise, dust, and other conditions typical of a manufacturing plant. Be prepared to sit and stand for extended periods and perform physical movements necessary for the job duties.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.56 - $25.18/hr.
