Job Title: Assembly Operator on the Swing Shift

Job Description

As an Assembly Operator, you will be responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and processing medical device components and products. You will utilize light tools and equipment following instructions and specifications from drawings and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect metal parts under a magnifying glass or microscope for 4-5 hours daily.
• Set shapes using mandrel fixtures by placing parts on fixtures.
• Handle chemicals by running equipment that processes chemicals.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production and assembly.
• Proficiency in using a microscope for inspection.
• Ability to perform data entry tasks.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Entry-level experience with small part assembly.
• Fluency in speaking and reading English.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Comfortable working on a production floor and wearing light gowning.
• Comfortable handling chemicals.
• Ability to repetitively lift 10-15 lbs.
• Experience in machine operation and manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in using hand tools and working on an assembly line.
• Ability to utilize measurement tools and devices as required by the process.
• Demonstrated good manual dexterity.

Work Environment

This position is located in a manufacturing environment with three main areas: a clean room for assembly and sub-assembly operations, a laser area where machines cut and shape small nitinol components, and a materials area for manufacturing with raw materials, which can be more heavy and dirty. The shift is a swing shift from 1:30pm-10pm.

This is a Contract position based out of Fremont, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.15/hr.
