Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will play a vital role in coordinating and supporting inventory management, customer orders, production, and safety procedures to meet the demands of our customers and warehouses efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Enter customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Support load scheduling for transportation.
  • Prepare necessary paperwork, including pick tickets, delivery tickets, and Bills of Lading.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels and facilitate inventory movement between locations to prevent shortages and uphold high customer service standards.
  • Reconcile inventory across all sites, including warehouses and co-manufacturing facilities.
  • Perform month-end and year-end inventory counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist operators on the production floor as needed to ensure operational flexibility.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness to facility standards.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to provide production and sanitation support.
  • Ensure proper filing of inventory counts, documentation, and all necessary communications.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.

Essential Skills

  • Forklift experience
  • Experience in production and warehouse environments
  • Knowledge of inventory management

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in dispatch or customer service is advantageous
  • Ability to travel 10-20% for reconciliation of inventory across sites

Work Environment

This is a full-time position with shifts from Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm. The work environment is a warehouse setting requiring forklift operation and adherence to safety standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orangeville, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
