Job Opening: Portable Chiller Assembler

Salary: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour

About the Role:

A leading manufacturer of industrial process cooling equipment is seeking a skilled Portable Chiller Assembler to join their team. This role involves assembling a variety of portable chillers ranging from 1 to 50 tons, including custom and special units. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with brazing and pipefitting, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble portable chillers according to schematics, blueprints, and technical specifications
  • Perform brazing on copper tubing (0.875” diameter or larger)
  • Execute pipefitting tasks with precision
  • Troubleshoot and resolve design or assembly issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and product quality

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret schematics and blueprints
  • Proficient in brazing copper without leaks
  • Skilled in pipe bending and fitting to specification
  • Basic understanding of refrigeration systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.68 - $23.54/hr.
