Hiring Night Shift Maintenance Technicians!

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for observing, maintaining, and repairing installed equipment, ensuring their safe and efficient operation.

Responsibilities

  • Observe the functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards, problems, and the need for service, repair, and/or replacement of electrical, electronic, and mechanical components.
  • Discuss performance issues and improvement ideas with pertinent technical staff.
  • Read and understand electronic and electrical/mechanical schematics, and draw sketches to clarify design details and functional criteria of electronic units.
  • Assemble experimental circuitry of complete prototype models according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronic systems and components.
  • Recommend changes in circuitry of installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair solid-state motor drives, solid-state temperature controllers, and computer-based controllers.
  • Set up standard test apparatus or contrive test equipment and circuitry; conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production models.
  • Analyze and interpret data from solid-state motor drives and controllers using scope meters and other troubleshooting equipment.
  • Adjust, calibrate, and align circuitry and components, and record effects on unit performance.

Essential Skills

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a PLC or Maintenance Mechanic role in an industrial environment.
  • Strong engineering and technical skills including PLC, Electrical, and Mechanical skills.
  • Ability to conduct basic mathematical calculations.
  • Proficiency in using electrical test instrumentation.
  • Good communication skills to work with plant personnel and vendors.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement methods.
  • Computer skills (MS Office, HMI, Control Logic).
  • Allen Bradley, Siemens PLC programming/troubleshooting skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Required to maintain backups of programs from all electrical devices.
  • Ability to check newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.
  • Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial lift platform licenses.
  • Must maintain a clean and orderly work area free of hazards.

Work Environment

Our facility, built in 2015, combines modern automation with diverse working environments. Some areas are climate-controlled while others, like the mixing department, are dirtier due to chemical handling, though PPE is offered. The curing department can be hot due to working with molds, while other areas remain clean and climate-controlled. The facility features bikes for easy transportation between departments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
