Amazon Devices team is looking for an experienced and motivated leader who possesses a unique balance of technical depth and relationship management skills. Our partners develop apps and games for Amazon devices powered by Fire OS and Alexa, such as streaming media players (e.g. Fire TV Stick), Fire Tablets, Echo Show, Smart TVs (e.g. Fire TV Edition), and more. As a Principal Solutions Architect, you will work internally with senior product and engineering leaders across the Devices organization and with top-tier partners externally to optimize digital experiences for our customers.
Key job responsibilities
Document best practices and create development resources that can be used by developers
Build reference architecture, frameworks and toolkits to drive adoption at scale
Influence internal engineering prioritization decisions and product roadmaps to best serve both customers and developers
Provide technical consultation to strategic app and game partners
Establish thought leadership externally through written contributions and public speaking
Develop unique, compelling, and exciting presentations and demonstrations of new Amazon technologies
Deliver persuasive, passionate, high impact, high quality presentations to senior decision makers
A day in the life
You will act as the primary technical liaison between external partners and Amazon product teams to help shape their product roadmaps. Your role will be to guide partners as they productize and integrate with Amazon Services and enable them to grow their business through monetization and increase in engagement. You'll evangelize best practices through whitepapers, presentations and sample code. As you build relationships with your partners, you'll understand their business, product roadmap, and challenges. You'll use this information to advocate on their behalf to Amazon product teams, helping improve the feature sets and quality of Amazon products and services.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $164,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $284,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
