SUMMARY
Perform oversight and assessment of Hanford contractor assurance systems, Hanford Field Office (HFO) nuclear facility readiness and contract transition activities (e.g. Hanford Integrated Tank Disposition Contract (ITDC)).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide Core Requirement support to the HFO Long-Term Mission Readiness Board (LMRB) for Waste Treatment Plant (WTP).
- Provide subject matter expertise and implementation support for the HFO Hanford Oversight programs and improvement initiatives.
- Develop presentation materials, including schedules, briefings, white papers, position papers, research documentation, and assessment reports, as requested.
- Assist in the development of materials and presentation of training and briefings to HFO and contractor management and staff.
- Assist HFOs continuous improvement efforts, as assigned.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree in a related field of study.
- Hanford General Education Training (HGET) required.
- Substantial experience as an interpretive authority and subject matter expert for assurance system requirements in a HFO environment.
- History of successful performance in developing and leading projects and comprehensive assurance systems and management programs in a HFO environment.
- Substantial experience in developing and leading improvement, implementing change management, and effecting cultural changes within HFO program frameworks.
- Experience in developing and implementing assurance system software applications in a HFO environment (experience with DevonWayTM is preferred).
- Substantial experience in leading assessments to determine compliance, performance, and operational readiness.
- Ability to develop and independently present training material and briefings to all levels of HFO and contractor organizations.
- Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with management and technical subject matter experts at all levels of the organization.
- Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Working knowledge of Department of Energy Office of Environmental Management missions and activities.
- Proficiency in the use of business/technical writing.
- Excellent personal and professional communications skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Project, Visio, and Power Point.
WORK SCHEDULE
Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.
TRAVEL
The expected travel time is less than 25%.
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS
Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 25%.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily performed in a professional office setting, including the normal office equipment (e.g., computer, fax machines, copier) and with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequent sitting, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing; occasional walking or standing, occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS PACKAGE
- Pay range: $175,000 to $200,000 per year.
