Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Title IV-E Program Manager- School of Social Work at its Detroit campus location.

Manage and implement the WSU SSW Title IV-E Training Program, a federally funded grant initiative through the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) that will enhance graduate training for social workers entering positions in public or private child welfare settings.
Recruit and interview applicants who want to enroll in the fellowship program, ensuring potential fellows fully understand child welfare responsibilities associated with the program. Enlist and interview child welfare agencies to participate in the program. Ensure participating agencies have the proper study materials, assignments and supervision for the program. Assist with student retention. Assess student performance in the program. Assist the practicum office to place all students seeking a child welfare practicum. Serve as the practicum liaison and assist with resolving any issues that the interns are having with the agency or the practicum instructor.
Design program requirements and materials (i.e., program applications, brochures, enrichment activities, etc.) based on the expectations of the Title IV-E Grant. Connect with IV-E program managers at other Michigan universities to collaborate on developing joint student enrichment activities (i.e., lunch and learn, etc.,) and share learning resources.
Engage in student programming to support readiness for professional practice. Follow-up and track post-graduation work to see if fellows secured a job in a child welfare agency. Share data with the Title IV-E agency and lead university partner for the IV-E fellowship.
Maintain the dissemination and tracking of student stipends. Ensure fellows are knowledgeable about how stipends are achieved. Work with the Business Affairs Officer (BAO) to ensure stipends are properly disbursed and to resolve any issues.
Gather program data and create reports to determine if program and process improvements are needed and to submit to Title IV-E when needed. Assist with the development, collection and review of student and agency program experience surveys.

Education Master's degree
Master’s degree in social work, Human Services, Education or related field.
Experience Specialist (minimum 5 years of job-related experience)
Experience working with or in Michigan’s child welfare system required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Deep knowledge of – and prior experience working within – child welfare.
Ability to writing program materials for outreach and admission, as well as technical reports.
Ability to use data to assess program outcomes.
Proficiency with online tools such as Microsoft Forms, Google Sheets, etc..
Superb interpersonal skills dealing with students, professional colleagues and systems.
