Job Title: Software Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced software engineer who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment and is committed to continual learning. The ideal candidate will actively participate in software development across various stages, enjoy teamwork, propose innovative ideas, and utilize new technologies to provide solutions. Our solutions are based on Windows and Android operating systems.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Command and Control development and auxiliary applications.
  • Integrate software across systems.
  • Enhance existing systems with additional tools and functionality.
  • Instruct external teams, plan tools, and support the testing team (SQA).
  • Document development and code creation according to required standards.
  • Collaborate with system engineers, software developers, mechanical engineers, and integration personnel.
  • Participate in trials, performance testing, and software reviews.
  • Create versions, control development pipelines, update ICDs, and engage in software architecture and design activities.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in C# and Java with at least 8 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in developing WPF/Avalonia applications using MVVM.
  • Expertise in multithreading.
  • Experience with video player and streaming technologies (H.264/265).
  • Experience developing interfaces with network protocols such as UDP, RS232, TCP-IP.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to Israel 1 to 2 times a year.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science/Programming or equivalent.
  • Core knowledge of .NET Core and Java.
  • Experience in developing Android/iOS applications.
  • Knowledge of advanced C2/C4I systems.
  • MIL Standard and other regulation experience.
  • Experience with defense systems.
  • Traceability experience.
  • Wireshark and Jira experience.

Work Environment

This fully remote role requires candidates to reside in the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone for effective collaboration with the team based in Stafford, Virginia. Occasional travel to the Stafford office and the parent company's office in Israel is required for testing and training, necessitating a valid passport at the time of hire. The team currently comprises about 17 members, and this position will be the first software engineer hire, requiring the candidate to work independently.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
