V2X is seeking an experienced Systems Security Engineer (SSE) to provide support on weapons systems at Pax River MD. The SSE provides specialized systems engineering support to a NAWCAD acquisition program in accordance to the 5000 series instructions. The SSE is responsible for performing programmatic or technical roles identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems; and guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems. The SSE will employ systems engineering methods and tools in the development of systems, responsible for reviewing engineering documents throughout the systems engineering life cycle of the system, and/or subsystem.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze engineering requirements, testing and evaluation in lifecycle support of SSE disciplines (Cybersecurity, Anti-Tamper, Software Assurance, Supply Chain Risk Management and Operations Security)
  • Perform Software Systems Engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of weapon systems
  • Support development of Statement of Work.
  • Perform software requirements evaluation, design evaluation, software definition, code, unit test and evaluation
  • Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews to evaluate proposed system requirements based on Government standards.
  • Coordinate and lead program management level meetings to address engineering and acquisition requirements in the area of program protection planning for Critical Program Information.
  • Conduct analysis and modeling on proposed architectures
  • Work with Security State of the Art (S-SOTA) technologies
  • Verify system requirements meet planned objectives.
  • Review and maintain SSE technical documentation, including system requirements, design specifications, concept plans, test procedure, and test plans
  • Participate in reviews and evaluations of technical products, processes, and systems
  • Ability for occasional travel

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Education/ Experience
    • BS or BA degree in a technical discipline
    • Must have 3 years’ experience in software/systems engineering supporting DoD weapons systems, aircraft, mission systems or training systems
    • Demonstrated knowledge in the area of computer systems engineering expertise
    • Ability to apply systems engineering methods and tools in the development of systems
    • US Citizen with an active DoD TS Clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Skills
    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
