Location: Warehouse

Status: Non-Exempt, CWA

Position: 12 Months (year-round), 8 Hours

Hours: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

This position has a district-wide impact. Duties, responsibilities, and work hours are subject to change according to the needs of the district. Maintain a positive and productive working relationship with all district employees. Work must be completed according to specifications and in a timely manner.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive a district vehicle to pick up and deliver mail/packages to all South area schools, buildings, and the Administration building
  • Transfer miscellaneous packages and mail between schools, Administration, ISC, and Warehouse.
  • Possess a working knowledge of the Mailroom area
  • May be called upon to assist in transferring miscellaneous packages and mail between the North area schools and buildings
  • Report building and vehicle conditions to the Supervisor in a timely manner that relates to safety, environmental, or general conditions
  • Participate in district sponsored learning opportunities and complete all required training on time

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 21 years of age and a high school graduate
  • Demonstrated excellent job performance and attendance
  • Possess and maintain minimum Missouri Class E driver’s license or equivalent accompanied by an excellent driving record and must be able to safely operate a delivery truck with lift gate throughout residential areas
  • Ability to accept responsibility and a willingness to learn additional skills are required for this position
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to relate effectively with tact, courtesy and discretion with a diverse workforce, administrators, and staff
  • Ability to understand and communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing, for all job-related duties and response to safety emergencies as well as follow verbal, written and/or demonstrated instruction
  • Must be able to pass thorough background investigation
  • Must possess basic computer skills
