Responsible for the supervision and accomplishment of the personnel maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Must work closely with all Departments and staff to ensure the patient's best interest is top priority. Plans, organizes, supervises, coordinates and controls the activities of the Environmental Services Department. **The value you’ll bring to the team:** · May develop annual goals and objectives for environmental services consistent with the mission and strategic plan of the organization **.** · Assigns duties to ensure work tasks are accomplished efficiently and ensures that adequate staff and supplies are available for the shift **.** · Reviews procedures to insure they remain in compliance. Ensures compliance with JCAHO, DNV, Federal, State and Local regulations and standards **.** · May prepare, evaluate and control the department's annual budget **.** · Regularly surveys departmental procedures for adherence to acceptable cleaning practices **.** · Supervises all staff by assigning work, training, hiring evaluation performance, progressive discipline and recommending termination as is appropriate **.** · Resolves patient satisfaction concerns in a timely manner **.** · May be responsible for clean linen distribution **.** · May maintain all tracking and accountability of linen supplies.
