JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for assisting with efforts toward the development of grant applications and the implementation of projects administered by the Farmworker Career Development Program (FCDP) Section. This position assists the Senior Educational Program Director in acting for the Department of Education in fulfilling technical responsibilities associated with managing and monitoring the National Farmworker Jobs Program (NFJP) administered by the U. S. Department of Labor under the authority of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Title I, Section 167. This position will also be responsible for conducting US DOL/ETA required on-site program and fiscal monitoring of FCDP sub-grantees in accordance with federal and state expenditure guidelines and providing technical assistance and guidance to sub-grantees as it relates to the accurate submission of monthly grant data through an Excel-based reporting system. This position is responsible for generating required quarterly program and fiscal reports to the U.S. Department of Labor, the submission of financial expenditure data to the FDOE Comptroller’s office, and acts as the office point of contact for coordinating contractor activities and deliverables as they relate to the overall implementation of tracking and report generation systems associated with Farmworker Career Development Program. This position will assist the State Director with in-depth data analysis, pre-apprenticeship implementation, and develop partnerships with CareerSource Florida through the state.

Since this position travels and presents at conferences as well as provides training on a needed basis, the prospective applicant needs to be able to travel and is comfortable presenting to people and training new staff.
