Job Summary:

The Human Resources Partner Associate provides essential support as a member of the Human Resources Partner (HRP) team. This role assists with personnel documentation workflows, administrative duties, and the maintenance of records and data. The incumbent will collect data and information from employees and must demonstrate technical and operational proficiency in daily responsibilities. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient HR operations and delivering quality service to the UAB community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with initiating, tracking, and processing personnel documents in accordance with UAB HR procedures
  • Maintain accurate HR records, digital files, and documentation systems
  • Perform routine data entry and updates to employee information within HR systems
  • Respond to general HR inquiries and provide customer service support to employees and departments
  • Schedule appointments, support meeting logistics, and manage administrative workflows
  • Collect and verify information and forms from employees for various HR actions
  • Collaborate with HR Partners and departmental contacts to ensure smooth HR operations

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: Two (2) years of related administrative, office, or HR support experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in an HR environment
  • Working knowledge of personnel systems (Oracle, Taleo, etc.)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Work Environment:

This position operates in a professional office environment. It requires frequent interaction with staff, faculty, and other stakeholders across the University. The role may involve periods of sitting, working at a computer, and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
