Responsibilities:
- Ensure that contracts comply with local and international legal standards, internal procedures, and business operational requirements.
- Create and maintain a reliable contractual database, including critical deadlines, amendments, commitments, legal risks, performance obligations and specific clauses.
- Ensure clarity of contractual responsibilities and mechanisms for termination, penalties and arbitration.
- Managing the contractual performance of suppliers
- Ensure the review and internal approval of contracts before signing.
- Archive signed contracts in a secure and structured way.
- Participate in the development of specifications and comparative analysis of offers
- Promote good contractual practices and strengthen internal skills through knowledge sharing.
- Facilitate awareness and training sessions on contract management for cross-functional functions.
- Prepare regular reports on contract status, deadlines, and upcoming actions.
- Maintain contract records up to date and in compliance with audit requirements.
- Ensure the traceability of contractual changes: amendments, extensions, adjustments.
- Work closely with the legal, finance, procurement, and operations departments.
- Ensure that all contracts include robust workplace safety clauses, regulatory compliance requirements, and audit mechanisms.
- Contribute to the achievement of the "zero accidents" objective by ensuring that suppliers scrupulously comply with the mine's safety standards.
- Participate in periodic workplace safety inspections and follow up on corrective contractual action plans.
- Guarantee that social clauses (human rights, working conditions, equity, force majeure, reparations, dispute resolution, notice periods, etc.) are integrated into all high-risk and non-risky contracts.
- Work in compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems, as well as Barrick Group's environmental and social policies.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in law, business administration, supply chain management, economics, industrial engineering or other relevant field;
- Holding professional certifications is an advantage:
- CPCM (Certified Professional Contracts Manager);
- CIPS / CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management);
- Other training in contract law or procurement management.
Experience and Skills Requirements:
- Excellent negotiation, written and oral communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in contract management software and ERP systems (SAP), with advanced data analysis capability.
- Strong critical analysis, complex problem solving, and proactive risk management skills.
- Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, pressured environment with multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
- In-depth knowledge of standards, practices and contractual requirements specific to the mining sector.
- Mastery of the Congolese Mining Code and regulatory frameworks related to supply contracts.
- Field experience in the mining industry or heavy industrial environments, with direct exposure to operations.
- Good understanding of HSE standards, industrial safety procedures and contractual obligations for compliance.
- Multidisciplinary technical ability (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic) to facilitate the reading and interpretation of technical clauses.
- Mobilizing leadership with a strong ability to motivate, coach and develop the skills of contract teams.
- Perfect command of French and English, both oral and written; Knowledge of Lingala and Swahili is an asset.
- Proven skills in team management, cross-functional coordination and conducting contractual meetings.
- Excellent command of office tools (advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and document management platforms.
- Collaborative spirit with a willingness to share knowledge, train colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in contract management,

- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Have proven experience in the management of strategic contracts, in the mining, industrial sector or in a multinational environment;
- Be results-oriented with a strong ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment
- Be able to work in remote areas with an on-site rotation system.
- Demonstrate impeccable ethics and guarantee the confidentiality of contractual information.
- Have in-depth knowledge of contract law, procurement processes, ERP systems, as well as contractual monitoring mechanisms;
- Be able to integrate the principles of occupational health and safety, zero incidents, compliance, traceability and supplier performance in the performance of his/her duties.

The Kibali gold mine is located in the northeast of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), approximately 220 kilometres east of the capital of the Haut Uele province, Isiro, 150 kilometres west of the Ugandan border town of Arua and 1,800 kilometres from the Kenyan port of Mombasa. The mine is owned by Kibali Goldmines SA (Kibali) which is a joint venture company effectively owned 45% by each of Barrick and AngloGold Ashanti, and 10% by Société Miniére de Kilo-Moto (SOKIMO).
