We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented System Administrator to join our CloudOps team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of our servers, systems, and networks. You will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our IT infrastructure.

Experiences, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science and 8+ years experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or comparable experience with other leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong Technical background with an ability to troubleshoot issues impacting large scale service architectures and application stacks.
  • Experience with Linux and setting up/maintaining web servers.
  • Experience in Containerization using Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Experience with REST APIs and the concepts of RESTful architecture.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues impacting large scale service architectures and application stacks.
  • Excellence in verbal and written communication.
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with strong customer service orientation.
  • Demonstrable experience in scripting/programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash, etc.
  • Configuration and maintenance of applications such as Middleware (Apache Webserver, Apache Tomcat, WebLogic), Configuration Management (Puppet, MCollective, SALT), and CI/CD tools (Git, SVN, API & CLI, Jenkins).
  • Hardware and Software Load Balancing, basic knowledge of firewall and networking architecture.
  • Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence.
  • Communicate with professionalism and precision to internal and external customers during high priority situations.
  • Identify and work with colleagues to implement opportunities for automation.
  • Manage the coordination, documentation and tracking of critical incidents ensuring rapid and complete issue resolution and appropriate closed loop to customers and other key stakeholders.
  • Work upstream with Development and Operation teams to develop and maintain standard operator procedures and troubleshooting guides that improve our operations.
  • Participate in the technological analysis related to the multiple Oracle applications operational and internal tools.
  • Identify and deploy durable solutions to the different complex challenges related to the Oracle Cloud Applications.
  • Leading contributor individually and as a multi-location team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.
