Hiregenics is immediately hiring for

Laboratory Technician in Mill Hall, PA.

As a Laboratory Technician you will

• Formulate blends/compounds in a laboratory environment under direction of AD personnel
• Tests samples using industry/company approved technologies
• Record test results and maintain laboratory notebook (provided) - ascertaining completeness and accuracy of all data generated
• Makes observations of tests, failure modes, notable events in the course of testing
• Record raw data into electronic spreadsheets – saved to site network
• Maintain integrity of testing instruments through proper handling and training.
• Follow standard operating procedures during use of equipment
• Clean testing equipment
• Follow safety procedures when handling materials and running equipment
• Participate in ensuring that the lab area and equipment are kept clean and organized
• Responsible for upkeep and housekeeping within R&D labs and support areas Obtains assistance from supervisor or higher level lab personnel if problems arise or normal instructions are insufficient

This is a full-time opportunity

• Monday - Friday 12:00pm-8:30pm

The ideal candidate will have:

• High school diploma (minimum), associates or BS degree in Chemistry or related field preferred 2+ years related experience preferred
• Internal EHS & adhesive testing and synthesis training – Hazardous Materials training level 1 (Provided)

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:

• Fully developed proficiency of chemistry and/or testing of chemical products. Basic understanding of mathematics (must)
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to use computer and testing equipment (proficient with MS Office and Google docs/sheets is preferred)
• Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures with an attention to detail Works with limited supervision and guides, including appropriately managing time requirements and acting as a self-motivator
• Ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner
• Skill in maintaining courteous, professional and effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
• Ability to receive constructive feedback
• Ability to maintain laboratory notebook
• Adaptability to accept and perform work assignments that are outside the normal day-to-day routine or to changes in how business is accomplished and work is accomplished

Pay Range and Benefits

Pay Rate: $22.50 per hour

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
