Carnival’s current slate includes a contemporary reimagining of The Day of the Jackal for Sky and a five-part drama about the tragic Lockerbie bombing.

Job Description

  • Start Date* 1st August 2025

Job Purpose

To manage the publicity and brand strategy for all Carnival IP.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the coordination of the creation of promotional / marketing assets for Carnival programming and providing feedback and approvals on behalf of the company.
  • Responsible for the deal approvals, creative approvals and consultation rights at Carnival (e.g. consumer products, licensing and brand extensions, key art design, marketing assets, talent approvals, etc); coordinating further approvals if/when necessary.
  • Responsible for licensing of Carnival content (stills, clips) – setting fees, handling the negotiations, drafting agreements and coordinating the execution of contracts.
  • Leading and managing publicity for Carnival’s productions, running meetings and liaising with internal and external stakeholders, production, and third parties to ensure broadcasters and marketers are effectively serviced with regards to materials and assets (key art, social and digital marketing materials, unit and BTS photography etc).
  • Ensure that NBCU stakeholders (publicity / comms, marketing, sales and consumer products), suppliers and buyers are effectively serviced from a promotional / marketing / creative assets point of view.
  • Responsible for the brand direction and identity for ancillary activities; ensure that Carnival’s programme brands / franchises (e.g. Downton) are effectively extended/managed/protected from an editorial point of view.
  • Manage all social media channels / activity for Carnival’s programming, providing the brief and campaign direction, reviewing and approving all assets and messaging.
  • Event planning and management – internal screenings, publicity and promotional events, charity events. Liaising with third parties and stakeholders, organising logistics, special guests, approving / designing promotional materials.
  • Co-line manager for the Production Operation Intern.

Qualifications

Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience with Publicity and Brand Management.
  • Experience in publicity and marketing of television/film – working with multiple internal and external teams to plan and create multi-platform social, digital and press campaigns.
  • Photo publicity experience in entertainment with a keen eye for detail and understanding of approvals processes and software.
  • Brand and product development experience within licensing and brand partnerships, ideally within an entertainment company.
  • Experience of worldwide retail business including retail marketing tactics, promotional partners and consumer products.
  • Strong relationship builder.
  • A proactive and tenacious approach to their role.
  • Strong prioritisation skills.
  • A detail-oriented individual with the ability to work in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively and consistently with senior management, internal stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Creative problem solver.
  • Strong brand ambassador and ensure all publicity and marketing materials, licensed and ancillary products etc meet the company’s vision and standards.
