Your role at Clorox:

The Clorox Company is seeking a qualified candidate for a Maintenance Technician position at our Aberdeen, MD facility. This facility uses automated packaging equipment and utilities to manufacture and distribute Clorox Liquid Bleach products. The primary function of this position is to support the production and facility operations in the areas of preventative, corrective and project/special maintenance. An individual assigned to this role is to provide system maintenance support to the production operation.

Hourly rate: $37.17 with opportunities to advance through a skill-based pay system. In a skill-based pay system, associates advance by learning and using the job-related skills and knowledge acquired as they progress through each skill level.

Rotational Shifts: (1st, 2nd, 3rd) Candidate may need to be available on a rotational shift our hours include 1st shift: (7am – 3:30pm) 2nd shift: (3pm – 11:30pm), 3rd shift: (11pm – 7:30am). Flexibility with overtime on a as business needs arise.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform troubleshooting and programming of PLC’s (Programmable Logic Controllers)
  • Candidate must demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and configure the following communications networks and protocols:

o DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, Data Highway Plus

o DH/485 Remote I/O

o Candidate must demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and configure the following AC/DC drives:

 Allen Bradley PowerFlex series

 Allen Bradley

 DC drives

o Candidate must demonstrate a detailed working knowledge of processing instrumentation equipment. Candidate must possess skills to calibrate and troubleshoot the following:

o Mass flow meters, DP transmitters, Level probes, Modulation valves

  • Perform Preventative Maintenance Activities on Production Equipment
  • Basic Troubleshooting and Repairing of all Production and Process Equipment.

o Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Electrical

  • Generate work orders and research parts.

o Basic Shop Fabrication - Welding/Machining and basic hand tools

o Rebuild Spare Equipment

o P.M.’s and Work Orders

o Help support production lines as needed.

  • Special Projects

o Capital Projects

o New Products

o Improvement Projects

Educational/Experiential Requirements:

  • Technical Background
  • Successful Graduate of the Rockwell AAM program

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent customer service mentality and skills
  • Self-directed
  • Support of WCO principles, programs, and objectives.
  • Organizational skills: ability to develop a work plan and execute against it.
  • Basic Analytical/Troubleshooting
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • PC skills including MS Office, Excel, Email
  • Flexibility in schedule and work assignments
