The production supervisor position is responsible for coordinating and assigning the activities of production workers, ensuring that production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and driving P&L results. This position supervises

production operations within an assigned areas or during assigned shifts. Specifically, the responsibilities of this position include:

  • Supervises workers that operate production machinery, assemble items, perform quality control,
  • or package goods for shipment.
  • Schedule and assign tasks to workers, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to
  • increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Responsible for meeting or surpassing daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), with accurate
  • reporting that consistently exceeds customer expectations.
  • Deliver clear and concise information during shift transition meetings, ensuring the next shift is
  • prepared for success.
  • Provide first level of support for any escalated issue during work shift.
  • Maintain consistent production quality by monitoring departmental performance metrics.
  • Communicate effectively with management and customers to ensure SLAs are met and issues
  • are promptly resolved.
  • Engages in employee relations initiatives, promptly addressing and resolving employee concerns
  • to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Assists in P&L forecasting and analysis, alongside labor planning and scheduling.
  • Prepare and administer daily performance feedback and reporting as required.
  • Coordinates the flow of work through the department and ensures that department has sufficient
  • levels of inventory to meet demand and is staffed appropriately.
  • Provide training, motivation, and support to employees regarding company and departmental
  • procedures, development opportunities, and departmental processes.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
  • to maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors.
  • All other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports

  • Ability to interact professionally with the customer in written and verbal communications.

Required Experience:

  • 5 + years of supervisory experience in a materials/distribution environment is preferred
  • Trained in lean production techniques a plus
  • An understanding of Oracle purchasing module is a plus
  • Previous experience working in a high volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED). College Degree a plus
