This position is an in office position at our location on Melrose Avenue in Nashville, TN.

The Senior Enterprise Engineer is responsible for designing and managing all enterprise systems, tier 3 response to and correcting problems with enterprise systems. Responsible for preventive action to identify issues that may develop in the environment, documenting those issues, developing a solution plan and ultimately leading the solution’s implementation. May also be called upon to lead medium to large projects including project plan development.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The successful applicant should be able to perform ALL of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the actual job performance requirements.

1. Works with clients, such as CCA government partners and CCA employees, to capture technology business requirements and architects new technology-based solutions to meet business needs. Develops project plans for implementation, specifying resources required.

2. Identifies necessary vendor patches and upgrades; presents such upgrades to management and change control, and successfully plans, communicates and executes such upgrades.

3. Acknowledges and implements best practices for tuning, performance and functional administration of enterprise technologies.

4. Makes recommendations for procurement, retirement of equipment, and upgrade of enterprise technologies.

5. Ensures availability of supported technology.

6. Manifests the department’s commitment to positive, friendly and competent customer support. Maintains relationships with customer departments and ensures all support is provided in the context of assisting application users succeed in their business goals.

7. Manages problem or request tickets from users and closes the loop on support issues to ensure a positive user experience.

8. Follows the CCA program management methodology and works collaboratively with all team members.

9. Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced team members through complex troubleshooting processes and translates very technical information into user terminology for business units.

10. Domestic U.S. travel may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related field is required.
  • Five years of experience is required. Additional years of experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
  • MSCE certification is preferred.
  • Requires proficiency in Intel-based server systems, Sun Solaris based server systems, storage area networking, Microsoft Windows 2008 Server/Advanced Server/Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, Citrix Metaframe, Veritas Storage Foundation, Veritas Netbackup, LDAP and identity management technologies, and system reporting tools.
  • Must have strong knowledge of development and production life cycle stages, and knowledge of business processes and its integration with IT.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
