Mercy Medical Center and Metz Culinary Management is growing and we have an opening for a Director of Food and Nutrition Services who shares our passion for Food, Service and Leadership. This is a contractor position with Metz Culinary Management.

Responsibilities

This position is a prominent opportunity in our Healthcare Division in a busy clinical setting and requires a polished and professional identity and winning attitude from a Director with experience leading a team in all operations. Multi-outlet experience is a must overseeing Patient/Resident Food Service, Café, Retail, Coffee Shop, and Grab and Go services.

The Director of Food and Nutritional Services has an overall responsibility of food service. He/she institutes company cycle menus and recipes; plans and oversees purchasing, employee personnel programs, scheduling, bookkeeping, customer and client relations; overseas the food preparation service and sanitation; and is accountable for the total operation results. The General Manager reports to Client Administration and The District Manager.

Qualifications

  • 3 plus years in a Food Service Manager role
  • 3 plus years in Hospital Food Service Management role
  • High Volume background
  • Institutional facility or multi-outlet experience preferred
  • Strong Restaurant Management knowledge
  • Thorough knowledge of menu implementation and presentation ideas
  • Strong Catering Experience
  • Culinary or Hospitality Degree strongly preferred
