HR Generalist with a recruitment twist

Looking for a role where you really get to own HR? This is it.

We’re on the hunt for an HR Generalist who’s ready to cover the full spectrum – from admin to recruitment to strategy. You’ll be the one and only HR person on the Storyous team in Czechia, but you’ll have support from our global admin crew. Day to day, you’ll be handling everything HR-related locally and working closely with Storyous leadership.

What you'll do:

  • Be the go-to HR person – supporting employees and managers, managing contracts, documents, and everyday HR ops.
  • Shape the company culture by organizing All Hands events and fun company teambuildings
  • Connect globally – we speak Czech internally, but English is our company language. You’ll regularly talk to both local leaders and global teams in English.
  • Own recruitment – partner with hiring managers, define strategies, publish ads, prescreen candidates, send out offers and run a smooth onboarding process.
  • Create awesome onboarding experiences – from paperwork to training sessions to welcome days.
  • Keep things running – plan activities like hiring waves, onboardings, and internal training sessions.
  • Collaborate and advise – work with legal, procurement, and external vendors.
  • Join leadership discussions – bring insights, prepare HR KPI reports, and shape strategies around compensation, performance, and more.
  • Drive internal comms – make sure employees know what’s changing, what’s new, and what’s coming up.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in HR – ideally across various HR areas and some recruitment exposure.
  • Solid understanding of Czech labor law and compliance – you’re not expected to be a legal expert, but you know how to stay compliant and when to flag issues or ask for support.
  • Strong organizational skills – you can prioritize and handle both daily tasks and bigger initiatives.
  • Great communication – with employees, managers, and international stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving mindset – you don’t wait for instructions, you bring ideas.
  • Hands-on – make your ideas come true from an idea to practical implementation
  • Fluent Czech and English – both are must-haves.
