Job Summary:
Reports to the Manager of Quality Transformation, the Quality Transformation Consultant is responsible for closely monitoring key quality metrics and ensuring alignment with the overall strategic objectives. The consultant uses the quality metrics to lead initiatives to improve outcomes through root-cause analysis. This role works closely with SEP Ambulatory Offices to implement standard work, improving workflow and efficiencies. The consultant will also collaborate with Clinical Transformation teams to pilot and implement new processes that support quality patient care.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Quality Transformation Leadership/Process Improvement:
- Deliver on clinical and non-clinical goals and targets, in collaboration with the Clinical Transformation team.
- Analyze, implement, and manage clinical performance improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives.
- Spearhead implementation of processes designed to close gaps in quality result vs target by applying tools and techniques of continuous performance improvement.
- Create & support process improvement action plans as necessary.
- Identify opportunities for improvement within the practices while developing and orchestrating a plan for improvement.
- Serve as a consultant on potentially problematic and complex quality related cases and identify the need for focused reviews, root-cause analyses, plans, and improvement activities.
- Project Management:
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to successfully complete the project life cycle and associated deliverables on time and on budget.
- Utilize appropriate tools and templates to support the project life cycle – assess, design, and implement.
- Document assumptions, proactively identify risks and issues associated with project work, and communicate mitigation strategies to project management.
- Collaborate with the Data Analytics team on collecting, cleansing, and analyzing data.
- Articulate project goals and how metrics associated with initiatives impact key performance indicators throughout the system, creating regular status reports and leadership updates.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze quality data regularly to identify trends and changes and present verbal updates regarding issues.
- Support committees with data needs.
- Support data needs for regulatory quality reporting requirements and state quality initiatives.
- Develop and maintain quality indicators and dictionaries.
- Training:
- Train new employees and staff on quality improvement concepts software, other assigned computer programs, and related projects.
- Identify other internal resources to use as educators as needed.
- Assist with development of educational materials.
- Share new knowledge with staff, solicit user feedback on data needs and workflow processes, and collaborate with Data Analytics team to make appropriate changes that will increase end user efficiency.
- Demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of performance improvement principles, tools, and concepts.
- Share knowledge on improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.) with key staff members.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Experience in applying process improvement methodology.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Intermediate-level database skills.
- Skills in establishing/maintaining effective working relations with providers, clinical and non-clinical associates, and patients/families.
- Quality management experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint, and the ability to learn other computer skills.
- Must have good organizational skills and work professionally with providers, hospital administration and management, SEP & SEH associates, and the public.

EDUCATION:
Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Health Sciences, Nursing, or a related field
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 3 years in healthcare, including experience with direct physician and patient contact.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum: Active, unencumbered multistate (compact) RN nursing license issued by a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state, specifically Kentucky, Indiana or Ohio.
