As part of the All in strategy the Tax and Assurance Centers of Excellence are being transformed and included in the New Global structure. These COEs will continue to be governed and managed by the respective SLs but will be supported by one enablement team. The CoEs house strategic investments made by the SLs to enhance and accelerate EY’s growth across our Big Bets and will operate alongside the Super Regions.

At the start of FY26, the Assurance and Tax CoEs across EMEIA and Asia-Pacific will transport into their respective global SL CoE constructs. Combined these will generate over $130m in revenues, house 580 professionals, operate across 30 countries in EMEIA and Asia-Pacific and drive some of the Firms most strategic initiatives.

It will be managed as a separate autonomous Region, with their own P&L, management and enablement structure and reporting directly to Global SL Deputy Vice Chair and respective Governance Boards.

The opportunity

As our Global SL COE Finance Lead you’ll primarily be responsible for the financial management of the Global Assurance CoE. This is a c$45m investment, consisting of 10 solutions/projects and has c60 FTEs (a combination of permanent professionals and purchased time) which operates across the Asia-Pacific and EMEIA geographies. There is a secondary responsibility to support the Tax Associate Director navigate the Asia-Pacific country network and geographies.

This is a hybrid position and can be based anywhere in the current ASIAPAC area.

Your key responsibilities

• Financial management of the Global Assurance CoE, including all financial processes - Global Financial Plan, Forecast/MLO, Revenue Planning (where applicable)
• Delivering a robust month-end process. Ensuring the accuracy of financial results, revenues are accurately reflected and all costs accounted for on a portfolio of solutions and investments across Asia-Pacific and EMEIA.
• Responsible for managing the Assurance CoE investment position and working with the countries on the reimbursement of that investment cost.

Skills and attributes for success

• Preferably a qualified accountant eg CIMA, ACCA with a strong track record of financial management and controls
• 5+ years of EY Experience in financial management across multiple geographies, ideally at the Area or Global level
• Extensive knowledge of and practical experience of EY’s FP&A activities – financial management and financial planning eg. Mercury, GFP tool, My Reporting suite

• Confident explaining complex financial issues to senior management & stakeholders by sharing and interpreting information that will help to improve business performance.
• Communicate closely with the Director of Operations to ensure emerging issues are raised promptly in relation to financial performance.
• Professional, confident, credible communicator, including the ability to connect with a group e.g. giving a training session, presenting to a management meeting.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work with and influence people of all ranks and in different geographies/cultures.
