Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 5 years of experience leading to the development and launch of software platforms or infrastructure.
  • 5 years of experience managing a team of Product Managers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a technology or business related field.
  • Experience building products from concept to launch, particularly "v1" or foundational platforms.
  • Experience running and scaling business processes.
  • Experience defining long-term product goals and strategy for evolving product areas.
  • Experience with AI, Machine Learning, or Generative AI products.
  • Understanding of Trust and Safety, risk management, content policy, or platform responsibility.

As a key thought partner to VPs and Directors, you'll use insights to drive alignment on critical safety strategies. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define and execute long-term goals for the YouTube Feature Responsibility Hub, automating and scaling feature safety through technology, partnerships and process transformation.
  • Build a self-service, AI-enabled platform with real-time safety monitoring, risk assessment, and feature-mitigation configuration overseen by data driven decision making with human expertise and judgement.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to VPs and Directors, driving alignment on safety strategies and investments with data-driven insights.
  • Ensure operational excellence at scale, overseeing risk assessment, safe launch execution, and driving continuous improvements in onboarding new features.
