In the R&D lab, you design test equipment for prototypes of our machinery and develop the protocols used to scale these tests for the entire global team. As a Hardware Lab Generalist, you will be a crucial member of our technical team, responsible for the direct assembly, installation, and integration of critical hardware systems. You will bring our designs to life by meticulously building out racks, enclosures, and cryostats with the necessary cabling and electronic components. You will play a key role in ensuring the performance and reliability of our systems by calibrating, testing, and troubleshooting a wide range of electronic instruments and components. Working from detailed schematics and technical documentation, you will conduct comprehensive electrical tests and maintain precise records of your work. Collaborating closely with our engineering teams, you will provide essential support for the development, testing, and deployment of systems.The full potential of quantum computing will be unlocked with a large-scale computer capable of complex, error-corrected computations. Google Quantum AI's mission is to build this computer and unlock solutions to classically intractable problems. Our roadmap is focused on advancing the capabilities of quantum computing and enabling meaningful applications.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $93,000-$133,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
