POSITION: Customer Sales Manager, Senior

COMPENSATION: Pursuant to Colorado regulations, if this job is performed in Colorado, the salary range $75,000- $85,000 plus bonus potential. Eligible to participate in the company benefits plan. REPORTS TO: Director, Centralized Leasing

SUMMARY: As a Senior Customer Sales Manager, you’ll oversee leasing-related offerings for a specific asset type (conventional, student housing, affordable housing) within the Centralized Services department. You will lead a team of Managers and Specialists providing centralized support for lead management and lease administration efforts while collaborating with colleagues in Operations, Marketing, and Systems on our asset-specific leasing processes. You will also work with our technology vendors to ensure our artificial intelligence (AI) and centralized leasing tools meet the needs of your assigned asset type.

The Senior Customer Sales Manager will partner with our Director of Centralized Leasing on enhancements to our leasing platform and participate in creating new standard operating procedures (SOPs) and processes to reflect the work of your leasing team in the new, centralized Cardinal Way of Leasing. Along the way, you’ll participate in industry-leading conversations about centralized support and help explore new tools, processes, and automation to help build our leasing process of the future. This role is part of Cardinal Group’s new centralized services team, and work may be performed remotely or at our HQ office in Denver, CO. Although your role may be remote and reports to the centralized services leadership team, you will work closely with team members to provide consistently excellent customer service to our future and current residential customers.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to):

  • Manage up to the Director of Centralized Leasing to successfully communicate strategic needs to deploy centralized leasing support for conventional communities.
  • Manage down to a team of Customer Sales Managers/Specialists to ensure alignment on sales strategy, process updates, and technology enhancements.
  • Lead pilot programs for our new tools, services, and platforms while working with our department Analyst to measure pilot KPIs and ROI.
  • Foster collaboration among Regional/Portfolio Managers to ensure alignment in leasing strategies, sales processes, and the effective deployment of centralized leasing support.
  • Foster collaboration between the onsite teams and their dedicated Customer Sales Specialist to support the continued rollout of centralized services across Cardinal’s portfolio.
  • Participate in internal and client-facing pitch meetings to sell the value of centralized services.
  • Maintain strong relationships with the Cardinal Group Marketing teams to ensure that centralized leasing efforts reflect the goals established by the Portfolio Sales & Marketing (PSM) team.
  • Identify opportunities for future centralized leasing tools, services, or processes based on the evolving needs of assigned asset type(s).
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and/or standardization in the leasing process across contracted communities.
  • Participate in calls with technology partners whose products are utilized by the centralized leasing team and in strategic decision-making with the Centralized Services management team.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new asset-specific standard operating procedures (SOPs) to reflect changing leasing processes through the introduction of centralized support.
  • Professionally represent Cardinal Group and our communities when interacting with prospective future residents.
  • Participate in department-led efforts to foster collaboration, culture, and belonging across a remote workforce.
  • Participates in Cardinal U training as required, including completion and continuous execution of Cardinal Way of Leasing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4 - 6 years of experience in property management required
  • 3 - 4 years of experience leading 6+ member teams, either onsite or remotely.
  • 2+ years of experience in a sales leadership role, with direct experience leasing a sales/leasing team, preferably in a remote setting.
  • Demonstrated experience developing sales strategies for conventional housing communities.
  • Experience utilizing Yardi, OneSite, or Knock CRM is required.
  • Experience working directly with ownership groups is required.
  • Experience with conventional lease-ups is a plus.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required, and a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Maintains a consistent level of professional customer service.
  • Excellent written communication skills, especially short form for easily digestible, pointed, relevant information
  • Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to details and perform tasks with consistent accuracy
  • Working knowledge of Yardi / Entrata is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Routine local travel may be required to attend training classes, client visits, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position. Overnight travel is required to attend company functions, training, property visits, and other situations necessary for the accomplishment of special projects that may be assigned from time to time.
