Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment by complying with all safety guidelines
  • Transportation, maintenance and utilization of nuclear gauge for verification of compaction of aggregates and asphalt material
  • Conduct daily gauge calibrations
  • Calculate standard deviations of test results and complete reports
  • Confirm compliance of test results prior to construction work proceeding
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Working near/on construction sites
  • Daily exposure to construction environment
  • Post secondary education in a technical field is an asset
  • Previous experience in the road construction industry an asset
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Computer literate with broad mathematical, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license with clean abstract
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekend
  • Be a team player
