About the team Our Trust and Safety engineering team is responsible for building machine learning models and systems to identify and defend internet abuse and fraud on our platform. Our mission is to protect billions of users and publishers across the globe every day. We embrace state-of-the-art machine learning technologies and scale them to detect and improve the tremendous amount of data generated on the platform. With the continuous efforts from our team, TikTok is able to provide the best user experience and bring joy to everyone in the world. We are looking for machine learning engineers who can take initiative, design and develop advanced machine learning solutions, and deploy them. A successful candidate will have machine learning expertise and good software engineering experience. And you will take pride in working with engineers, product managers and business partners to identify and solve the most challenging safety and integrity problems on the internet scale. What You'II Do - Play an important role in building trust and safety machine learning model - Work on highly-scalable classifiers, predictive models and algorithms in big data mining, computer vision, NLP and other domains - Work with engineering teams to implement model pipeline and deploy the service at scale - Collaborate with a product team to define objectives and improve trust and safety strategy - Collaborate with data scientists to understand and find data patterns In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.
Minimum Qualifications: - Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, or related fields. - Graduate with a background in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline - Thorough understanding of data structures and algorithms, with excellent problem-solving ability. - Deep Understanding of machine learning, statistics, scaling distributed computing, and big data engineering Preferred Qualifications: - Demonstrated software engineering experience from previous internship, work experience, coding competitions, or publications - Internship experience or research experience, especially in natural language processing, fraud detection, or responsible AI, integrity, or trust and safety - Curiosity toward new technologies and entrepreneurship - High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities
