Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a skilled and versatile C# Developer to join our dynamic technology team. This role involves developing scalable, high-quality applications within a microservices architecture, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior developers. The candidate will contribute to key projects supporting financial services, potentially within Front/Middle Office domains, while ensuring adherence to best practices in application design and automation. This position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and influence critical applications that support organizational and client objectives.
Software Requirements
Required Skills:
- Full Stack development experience with C#/.NET (versions 4.6, 4.8, or 5/6) — 4-6 years
- Solid experience in building RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and C#
- Proficiency with Visual Studio (latest preferred) and version control systems (Git, Bitbucket)
- Experience with container platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
- Strong SQL knowledge (DDL/DML) with databases like Oracle, Sybase, or similar
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, or similar frameworks
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with messaging middleware like Solace, Tibco, or Kafka
- Familiarity with asynchronous programming (async/await) in C# and Java
- Knowledge of Azure or other cloud environments for application deployment and scaling
- Exposure to Front/Middle Office finance systems in Asset Classes (optional)
Overall Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Global Middle Office Technology and Operations teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust solutions
- Develop, test, and deploy high-quality microservices and full-stack applications that align with architectural standards
- Mentor and coach mid-level developers, fostering best practices and continuous learning within the team
- Implement new functionalities with automated testing, adopting a shift-left approach for quality assurance
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, security, and performance standards are maintained
- Assess risk and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards influencing application development
- Stay updated on emerging technologies like cloud, IoT, and blockchain for potential integration into solutions
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for applications and integrations in production environments

- Experience working in agile teams, actively participating in planning, review, and deployment processes
Day-to-Day Activities
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and QA teams to design and implement technical solutions
- Develop new features, APIs, and services ensuring code quality and automation coverage
- Perform code reviews and provide technical mentorship to team members
- Troubleshoot application issues, coordinate releases, and optimize performance
- Stay informed on latest technical trends and continuously improve development practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSD, AWS Certified Developer, or Scrum certifications) — preferred
- Demonstrated ability to develop secure, high-performance, and scalable applications
- Proven experience in both backend and full-stack development environments
