Role Summary

Splunk AppDynamics, a leader in observability solutions for both cloud and on-premises environments, empowers customers with end-to-end visibility across their entire application ecosystems, cloud, on-premises, or hybrid. Our team is dedicated to developing, maintaining, and supporting SaaS and on-premises offerings within the observability product suite.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build upon our application and data platform as we continue to innovate on application observability. We move fast and iterate quickly. What you'll get to do

• Design and build highly scalable solutions.
• Work with a team of exceptionally capable and dedicated peers, all the way from engineering to product management and customer support.
• Design distributed systems which need to support high data volume, concurrency, resiliency and throughout.
• Create intuitive user interfaces and visualizations for complex data and workflows.
• Design and build features to enhance user experience, Develop reusable components for the next-generation UI platform.
• Design tools to visualize and handle large datasets effectively.
• Ensure robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for proactive issue detection and resolution.
• Support CI/CD processes and automate testing for data systems.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends in big data, machine learning, and distributed systems to recommend innovative solutions.
• Work in an open environment, work together to get things done and adapt to the team's changing needs.
• Leverage technologies including Kafka, ElasticSearch, Docker, and Kubernetes across different cloud environments like AWS and Azure

Must-have Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience in designing and developing highly scalable, distributed applications, products, or services.
• System design concepts and working experience of low-level design and implementation for both front-end and back-end
• Strong Development Experience in Java programming language and related frameworks. Proficiency in developing user facing features using Angular/React
• Strong working experience in data structures, algorithms, threads, concurrent programming
• Proficiency of SQL and at least one relational database engine like MySQL/Oracle.
• Understanding of microservices design with expertise in Dockers and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in modern TypeScript and JavaScript frameworks, especially Angular
• Skilled in developing and maintaining large Single Page Applications (SPAs)
• Experience working with or building unified UI libraries
• Solid knowledge of Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in distributed system environments.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to changing requirements, scope, and priorities.

• Knowledge about other programming languages like Python, C++, Node JS
