Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with QRM and Transformation team members in the initial setup, testing and firmwide rollout of Intapp’s Conflicts and Client Intake modules to the firm’s business units.
  • Work closely with QRM and Business Unit operations team members in the initial design and periodic update of Client Intake surveys and review and approval workflows.
  • Coordinate with the India-based Centralized Conflicts Team in ensuring timely and accurate identification and resolution of potential independence and other ethical conflicts.
  • Perform conflict checks for urgent opportunities and other ad hoc requests.
  • Provide guidance and training to Armanino partners and team members.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the Centralized Conflict team, QRM, Transformation, IT and Business Unit personnel to align on procedures, best practices, and service improvements.
  • Perform and/or review results of client due diligence efforts including the results of adverse media searches and background checks as part of the Client Intake process.
  • Leverage knowledge of third-party research tools and internal databases to enhance search accuracy and turnaround times.
  • Manage communications with engagement teams to gather necessary information to resolve potential conflicts and/or due diligence findings.
  • Assist with due diligence and integration related to mergers and acquisitions.
  • Assist with firm and individual registration and licensing matters as needed.
  • Perform other special projects and assume additional responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 5 years prior experience in a conflict, client intake, and/or other compliance role within a professional services firm
  • Familiarity with organizational structures and financial/legal transactions
  • Understanding of independence and other conflict of interest standards and regulations applicable to audit & attest firms (e.g., AICPA, SEC, PCAOB, DOL, IESBA)
  • Prior experience using Intapp’s Conflicts and/or Intake modules in an accounting or law firm
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management abilities
  • High attention to detail and strong judgment skills
  • Collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to play multiple roles in a dynamic team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or relevant postgraduate degree
  • Public accounting experience
  • Prior experience performing business research, risk assessment, and/or due diligence processes (including adverse media searches and background checks)
  • Prior experience managing and/or mentoring less experienced team members
  • Prior experience collaborating with India-based team members

Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. For Illinois residents, the compensation range for this position: $125,00 - $145,000. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location. Eligible employees at certain levels can participate in a discretionary long-term financial incentive plan, subject to plan participation rules.
