Primary Functions

  • File Clerk duties include filing correspondence, legal documents, organizing file materials and preparation of file folders.
  • Management of on-site and off-site file storage.
  • Other general office duties include occasional back-up support at reception desk during receptionist’s lunch breaks.
  • Occasional back up support for Office Services Clerk.
  • Duties may include making copies, file room maintenance, conference room and kitchen set-up and clean-up.
  • Ability to occasionally assist and follow instructions by IT Dept. re computer set-up.
  • Provide general office and administrative support, when needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years’ experience working as a File Clerk.
  • Accurate and fast typing for pleading/discovery indices, file labels, storage forms, etc., is required.
  • Excellent attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality is required along with basic computer skills.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task. (Microsoft Word 2010 or higher and Outlook.)
  • Professional appearance and attitude required.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Some positions may necessitate a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, finance, marketing).
  • Have relevant work experience that aligns with the job requirements.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old to be considered for this position.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with others.

The hourly rate for this job in this market is $25.00. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
