About this Position

GENERAL SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing a wide range of administrative and project support services to the Education Navigator. The position requires a high degree of organizational skill, attention to detail, the ability to provide proactive support and to complete independent projects as well as to work in a team environment. This person will be the primary point of contact for the project and as such will be responsible for superior customer service and handling of student contacts. Working with the Education Navigator, this person will maintain the student management system and database.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree from an accredited college or university required. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Evidences a history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a comparable administrative or philanthropic support role.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing proactive support and working independently on projects.

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

  • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license is required if performing the functions of the position requires the use of a personal or university vehicle.

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in IT related document production (text, tables, charts, reports) and online research, including intermediate to advance level knowledge in MS Word, intermediate level knowledge of MS Excel, and solid understanding of MS PowerPoint. High level of familiarity with online information sources, including social networking sites, blogs, etc.
  • Experience with data entry and database management.
  • Excellent writing and organizational skills, including the ability to develop and improve existing systems.
  • Promptness, reliability, sound judgment, and ability to complete tasks in a timely manner is essential.
  • Establish/maintain effective working relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Time management, multitasking, and coordinating work outcomes/activities with multiple partners.
  • Handle difficult or sensitive situations using sound independent judgment within legal guidelines.
  • Must be flexible, innovative and self-motivated.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

Communication Skills:

  • Strong written and oral communications skills required.
  • Excellent listening, customer service and problem-solving skills are essential, continually incorporating feedback, ideas and requests.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively recognize and resolve conflict.
