About this Position
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Student Success and Career Advisor will provide academic advisement and career guidance to students in the OSUIT Nursing Program. This position requires working closely with faculty and staff to provide support to students as they navigate through the educational process and job placement. Additionally, this position will provide administrative assistance and clerical support for the Director of Nursing including appointment scheduling, communications, document production, inventory, travel requests, and record keeping. The priority for this position is to ensure quality, consistent student and program support that will prepare and sustain a diverse student body as competitive members of a world-class workforce and contributing members of society and ensure the continued success of the Nursing program. A focus on student well-being and enrollment, persistence and graduation trends is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date). Other combinations of education and experience may be considered if relevant.
- Minimum of two years’ work experience in a higher education setting, preferably in an advisement capacity.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-centered environment.
- Experience working in collaborative, team-oriented environments and in positions that require individualized work with minimal supervision.
Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
- An Oklahoma driver's license will be required if performing the functions of the position requires the use of a personal or university vehicle.
