Job Description:
The Patient Access Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients arriving for outpatient services. The role is responsible for ensuring a seamless registration process, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and supporting patient satisfaction throughout the visit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients and gather complete registration and insurance details
- Enter patient data accurately into the EPIC system
- Collect co-pays and validate insurance eligibility and benefits
- Obtain proper identification and documentation prior to service
- Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative staff
- Maintain compliance with Medicare/Medicaid guidelines and required forms
- Support billing team projects as needed
- Handle incoming calls and follow up on voicemails in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 12+ years of customer service experience (restaurant experience excluded)
- Prior experience in a healthcare or medical office environment preferred
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented with good multitasking ability
- Stable work history (no frequent short-term roles)

- Contract-to-hire: 720-hour assignment with potential for permanent hire
