Keep Aerospace Operations on Track – Join Us as a Records Management Specialist!

Location: Rockford, IL | Contract: 12 Months | Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8AM–5PM | Pay: $23/hr

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a detail-oriented Records Management Specialist to support a leading aerospace manufacturer in Rockford, IL. This full-time consulting role plays a critical part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of shipment, contract, and compliance data, enabling efficient domestic and international operations across commercial and military programs.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage compliant shipments for customer orders and internal repair/overhaul, including military and international requirements.
• Enter and verify shipping terms and transfer data using the SAP ERP system and customer portals.
• Handle material transfers between facilities and maintain accurate records of shipping documents, invoices, and packaging inventory.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external customers via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
• Prepare and maintain military shipment documentation and support customer contract flow-down requirements.
• Upload, file, and scan records for audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Support customer sales, work order induction, and traffic activities across programs.

What You’ll Need:

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1–3 years of business experience
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP ERP systems
• Excellent organizational, data entry, and communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive documentation with accuracy and confidentiality

Preferred:

• Experience supporting aerospace or defense-related logistics or records functions
• Familiarity with military contract documentation

Pay Details: $23.00 per hour
