Job Title: Senior Data Control Analyst – IT Operations Oversight

Client: Top 5 Canadian Bank

Location: Downtown Toronto (Hybrid – 2x/week in office)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Data Control Analyst to support and enhance our IT operations oversight team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with 3–5 years of experience in data operations, control testing, and governance. You will work closely with a Level 8 Senior Manager to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of control processes related to end-of-life (EOL) and end-of-support (EOS) systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute and monitor control operations related to EOL/EOS systems and infrastructure.
  • Perform data consolidation, validation, and discrepancy resolution across large datasets.
  • Conduct control testing and provide audit-style documentation and evidence.
  • Analyze trends and anomalies in operational data to support governance decisions.
  • Maintain and enhance control documentation, runbooks, and reporting templates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with internal standards.
  • Support the oversight of oversight—ensuring that control owners are meeting their obligations.
  • Prepare data and insights for executive-level reporting and governance reviews.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in data operations, control testing, or IT governance.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and basic macros).
  • Experience working with SharePoint, Outlook, PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
  • Familiarity with audit processes, risk controls, or compliance frameworks.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in data.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in IT asset lifecycle management or end-of-life/end-of-support tracking.
  • Exposure to ServiceNow, GRC tools, or enterprise control frameworks.
  • Background in financial services or regulated environments.
