Position Summary:
The Value-Based Care (VBC) Department Administrator is a dynamic and results-driven leader responsible for directing and coordinating the operational, financial, personnel, and strategic initiatives of the department. Reporting directly to the Director of Value-Based Care, the Administrator oversees a multidisciplinary team and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with the organization's value-based care objectives. This role is pivotal in developing and executing policies, procedures, and workflows that support success in risk adjustment, quality improvement, cost containment, and patient utilization outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly and indirectly supervises the VBC team, including Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), Registered Nurses (RNs), Medical Assistants (MAs), and support staff.
- Defines roles, responsibilities, and accountability structures; evaluates performance; and recommends promotions, merit increases, or disciplinary actions.
- Leads implementation and continuous improvement of workflows targeting key value-based metrics (e.g., RAF/HCC, Quality Measures, TCM, ED/IP Utilization), in compliance with CMS, HEDIS, and other applicable standards.
- Conducts regular departmental meetings to ensure seamless communication and operational coordination.
- Develops and maintains a strategic and systematic departmental plan focused on improving efficiency, effectiveness, and patient satisfaction.
- Manages departmental facilities and equipment, including assessment, acquisition, and maintenance, and recommends capital investments per organizational policy.
- Ensures department compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations including Medicare and HIPAA.
Financial Management
- Collaborates with the Finance Team to develop and maintain
- accurate and comprehensive departmental budgets and financial reporting tools.
- Reviews financial reports regularly to monitor income, expenses, and departmental performance indicators.
- Implements strategies to optimize department profitability, resource utilization, and quality of care.
- Ensures all departmental expenditures are accurate, justified, and processed in a timely manner.
Strategic Planning
- Partners with the Director of Value-Based Care in setting short- and long-term goals aligned with Revere Health’s mission and strategic vision.
- Assesses and implements opportunities for innovation and growth within the value-based care model.
Human Resources & Staff Development
- Collaborates with Human Resources to implement staffing strategies and policies that support a high-performance culture.
- Assigns roles and provides training to ensure comprehensive understanding of duties and clinic policies.
- Enforces compliance with the Employee Handbook and other clinic protocols; administers disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Maintains accurate payroll and personnel records in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Additional Duties
- Represents the department in Clinic Operations meetings and ensures bidirectional communication with internal teams.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Value-Based Care.
- Risk Management Oversight.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years in a healthcare administrative or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in physician practice management highly preferred.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations (HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, FMLA, FLSA, OSHA).
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.
