The County of Riverside’s University Health System - Medical Center (RUHS-MC) Emergency Room Department is seeking a dedicated Regular Stock Clerk to join our team in Moreno Valley. We are looking for motivated individuals who are committed to delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Under supervision, receives, stores, and issues a variety of supplies, tools, and equipment; maintains records of items received and issued; loads and unloads freight, supplies, and equipment from trucks; and performs other related duties as required.
The most competitive candidate will have six months of experience performing stock clerical duties. The Stock Clerk is an entry-level classification and, based on area of assignment, reports to a para-professional or higher-level class. Incumbents receive initial training in the techniques and procedures essential to the classification's duties. This class is assigned to supply units within County departments and is responsible for the receipt, storage, and routing of supplies, materials, and equipment delivered to their departments. Depending on assignment, responsibilities may include related duties such as driving delivery vehicles; maintaining department inventory records; preparing requisitions and inventory cards; sorting and distributing incoming department mail; packaging items scheduled for distribution to branch offices, etc.

Minimum Requirements:
Knowledge of: Basic techniques of receiving, storing, and issuing supplies and materials; basic techniques involved in inventory control.
Ability to: Read sufficiently well to accurately fill requests from written purchase orders; maintain records of receipt and delivery of supplies and materials; perform basic arithmetical computations; learn the terminology of parts and supplies associated with the storeroom or warehouse assigned.
Preferred Experience: Six months of experience performing stock clerical duties.

License/Certificate: Possession of a valid California Driver's License may be required.
Based upon assignment, Riverside University Health System - Medical Center applicants may be required to possess a Food Service Handler's Certificate as issued by the County of Riverside Department of Environmental Health.
Depending on the department assigned, Stock Clerks may be required to safely and efficiently drive vehicles (e.g., cars, vans, pick-up trucks, stake side and cargo delivery trucks) on public roads and highways as part of their regular duties:

DEFERRED COMPENSATION: Voluntary employee contribution with a choice between two 457 deferred compensation plan options.
VACATION ACCRUAL (Bi-Weekly Accrual):
0 < 3 year = 80 Hours (10 Days)
4 < 9 years = 120 Hours (15 Days)
10 or more years = 160 Hours (20 Days)
Maximum Vacation leave accumulation is 480 hours.
SICK LEAVE: Four (4) hours Sick Leave accrual per pay period with unlimited accrual.
HOLIDAYS: Normally 12 paid holidays per year
BEREAVEMENT LEAVE: Allowed 5 days (3 days are County paid; 2 additional days can be taken from accrued Sick Leave balance)
BASIC LIFE INSURANCE: Equal to one times annual base salary not to exceed $50,000 of term life coverage. Premiums are paid by the County. Additional Supplemental Life plan is available for employee purchase.
DISABILITY:
Employees contribute to State Disability Insurance (SDI), which provides wage replacement benefits for those unable to work due to non-work-related illness, injury, or pregnancy. SDI also includes Paid Family Leave benefits. The wage replacement rate, as defined by current law, is between 60-70% of wages earned during the SDI eligibility period. Benefits can be coordinated with other available leave balances to provide up to 100% of regular pay.
POST RETIREMENT MEDICAL CONTRIBUTION: A monthly contribution is made by the County towards retiree health insurance offered through the County as governed by the applicable Memorandum of Understanding.
