This adjunct faculty position in the Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Biomedical Sciences (MCBS) is responsible for teaching BMS 646 – Clinical Hemostasis during the academic term. The course is part of the undergraduate curriculum in clinical laboratory sciences and focuses on the principles and clinical aspects of hemostasis, including coagulation pathways, platelet function, fibrinolysis, and associated disorders. The adjunct instructor will deliver lectures, assess student understanding, and support student learning outcomes in alignment with course and program standards. This is a part-time, non-essential position reporting to the department chair.

Duties/Responsibilities

Instruction and Course Delivery – 50%

  • Prepare and deliver course content based on the established syllabus and learning objectives
  • Present complex concepts related to coagulation, bleeding disorders, and diagnostic testing using effective instructional strategies and technology

Student Assessment – 25%

  • Develop and grade assignments, quizzes, and examinations that evaluate student comprehension of clinical hemostasis
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of student performance and progress

Student Support and Communication – 15%

  • Be available to answer student questions and provide academic support outside of scheduled lectures
  • Clearly communicate course expectations and provide constructive feedback

Course Coordination – 10%

  • Collaborate with departmental faculty to ensure course consistency and alignment with program goals
  • Submit final grades and other required documentation within established deadlines
